Greetings Baseball Families!

 

Welcome to the 2024 Evan Thomas Memorial 15U AAA Baseball Tournament. We are excited to host the best of 15U baseball this year from July 12 to 14 at the beautiful Nutana Sports Complex.  A special welcome to the teams that traveled from out of province this year. Thank you for making the commitment to come from so far away. 

 

We would like to thank our title Sponsor Dairy Queen Grill and Chill, specifically Geoff and Kim Arnold and their family. The Arnold family was a big part of Evans' life. Thank you.  We need to thank Sean Coleman at Airline Hotels as our accommodations coordinator for the weekend. We would also like to thank all our other sponsors for the weekend. A few words about why we are here. Our son and brother, Evan, was one of the Humboldt Broncos on the bus April 6, 2018 when the horrible accident occurred. Evan was one of the players that unfortunately did not make it home that day. That was 6 years ago now and we still mourn his premature death every day. Evan was a fantastic athlete and student. Success came naturally and easy for him. He was a gifted young man. Evan loved baseball, and he loved being a teammate. He loved attending baseball tournaments and having fun with his teammates and their families.

 

A special thanks to all our family friends who are helping out this weekend. Many of us go back to Mosquito ( U9) baseball! Without your help, this weekend would not be possible. Specifically thanks to Lee Shewchuk, our tournament director.
